Overview

Scanny QR ("the App") is developed by Huseyin Akin. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

In short: Your scans and QR codes are processed entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to the content you scan or create.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • QR code content you scan or generate
  • Photos or images from your camera or photo library
  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Contact information
  • Browsing history or search queries

Data We May Collect

Analytics (with your consent)

We use Firebase Analytics by Google to understand how the App is used. This includes anonymous usage data such as which features are used, session duration, and device type. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

For users in the European Union, we request explicit consent before collecting analytics data. You can change your preference at any time in the App's Settings.

Crash Reports (with your consent)

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports that help us fix bugs and improve stability. Crash reports contain technical information about the crash (stack traces, device model, OS version) but do not include personal data or scan content. You can enable or disable crash reporting in Settings.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Scanny QR Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous identifier to validate your subscription. No personal information is shared.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your scan history and settings are synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us. Apple's iCloud privacy policy applies.

On-Device Processing

All QR code scanning and generation happens locally on your device. Your scan history is stored only on your device (and in your iCloud account if sync is enabled).

Third-Party Services

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Consent or decline analytics data collection
  • Change your consent preferences at any time in Settings
  • Request information about data we hold
  • Request deletion of any data associated with you
  • Delete your cloud-synced data directly from Settings within the App

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 16, please do not use the App without parental consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
